Papers of journalist Richard H. (Dick) Leonard, former editor-in-chief of The Milwaukee Journal, including speeches, personal and professional correspondence, memoranda concerning the management of the Journal, clippings by and about Leonard and the Journal, a few publications, and photographs including an image for the 75th anniversary celebration of the Daily Cardinal in 1967, and one of the First Wisconsin National Bank Plaza, 1971. The collection documents journalism and political issues in southern Wisconsin, behind-the-scenes work at a major newspaper, and Leonard's professional experience overseas, and includes anecdotes and comments about other prominent Journal staff.
